Connection guide

Before you connect

Good questions.
Clear starting points.

Which assistants can connect?

Use a tool that supports Rentari's MCP connection or public API.

See setup options
Can I create a key right away?

New connection setup is currently unavailable.

Developer access must be approved before you can create a key.

Can my assistant change records?

A live key with write access can make supported changes.

Rent and deposit changes also require payment permissions.

Does every change wait for approval?

No. Supported changes offer an optional preview, not an enforced approval step.

Start with a read-only key if you only want answers.

Do Pilot Modes control this connection?

External assistants use their API key permissions, separate from Rentari's Pilot Modes.

What happens to data my assistant receives?

Your chosen provider's data handling terms apply to records it receives.

Revoking a key does not remove data already received by your provider.

Is the sample connected to my account?

No. The questions and permission controls use fictional examples in this browser.
