Define the assistant's work before delegating

A human virtual assistant may prepare a listing draft, organize inquiries, coordinate an agreed appointment or collect repair updates. Specify the deliverable, permitted information, reviewer and completion evidence. Keep preparation separate from publishing, ordering a report, committing money or making a housing decision; confirm the authority and any qualifications required for the actual work.

Agree the service scope, fees, working hours, response expectations, confidentiality, record handoff and ending arrangements. Compare the complete cost and work you still need to review rather than relying on an old national hourly average. A remote job or a contractor label does not determine worker classification: the IRS relationship guidance explains the federal tax distinction. Obtain qualified advice on the actual engagement and other applicable requirements.

Give only necessary, authorized access through the system's supported roles; do not share the owner's password or unnecessary applicant documents. Test a small administrative handoff and review the result. A software assistant is a different tool whose capabilities, permissions and review settings need their own check. Neither an overseas time zone nor an AI reply supplies local emergency attendance. Use the remote-management handoff guide to name the person and backup who can act at the property.
