Use one worksheet for comparable quotes. It does not recommend a policy or determine coverage for a claim.

Describe the same property → Compare the same terms → Resolve open questions

Confirm the inputs

Record the insurer or agent, quote date, property use, occupancy, building details, and requested effective date. Check that each quote describes the same exposure.

Note assumptions or missing information that could change the offered terms.

Compare the provisions

List premium, deductible, limits, valuation basis, relevant covered causes, exclusions, endorsements, liability, loss-of-rent provisions, and conditions requiring further explanation.

Do not reduce a complex condition to yes if the wording contains important limits. Keep the actual policy reference.

Close the questions

Ask a licensed professional about differences, required inspections, vacancy or renovation conditions, and changes in use. Record the answer and where it appears in the documents.

Confirm replacement coverage and timing before canceling an existing policy. Keep payment and renewal obligations visible.

After selection, save the policy and endorsements, not just the quote. Set a review date and update the file when the property's use or condition changes. The worksheet should make uncertainty visible so it can be resolved before a loss.

Keep your completed record

Save the worksheet with the supporting records and restrict access to people who need it. This blank organizer does not calculate a legal, tax, insurance, or eligibility decision.
