The short answer
Electronic execution can be valid, but enforceability depends on the applicable law, document and signing process. Confirm consent, attribution, access to the completed record and any exceptions rather than relying on the signature image alone.

Review the process, not just the mark
Identify who must sign and how their intent and identity are recorded. Make the document available to review before signing and retain the completed agreement and associated evidence. Check any electronic-disclosure or record-access requirements that apply.
Keep notices separate
Signing a lease electronically does not establish that a later eviction, termination or other legally required notice may be served by the same method. Verify service requirements for that particular notice and jurisdiction.
Example: one signature is missing
A package sent to two required signers has one completed signature. Read the actual document status and follow up through the supported workflow. Do not describe the whole agreement as completed merely because the first signer received a confirmation.

Common questions
What if a signer cannot use the electronic signing route?
Confirm access and the applicable consent and record-delivery requirements before sending the package. Arrange an appropriate accessible or paper route where needed, and confirm how the signer will review and retain the agreement. A sent email does not demonstrate that the person could access the document or intended to sign it.
What should I keep after all required signers have finished?
Inspect the completed agreement, signatures, disclosures and attachments, and retain the final file with the available signing evidence. Confirm that the people entitled to a copy can retrieve and reproduce it. Preserve that completed version; correcting a saved template does not by itself amend the signed agreement.
