Scan a receipt and save the expense

Extract receipt details, correct the draft and save the reviewed expense.

Prepare a readable image or PDF and check that its expense is not already booked.

Upload the receipt

Open Expenses > Scan a receipt. Choose the supported file, wait for extraction and read any format or availability message.

Review every field

Compare Merchant / description, Total amount, Date, Property and Category with the original. Check currency and confidence information.

Save through Add expense

Choose Continue to Add expense, finish the required fields and save. Check the saved row and open its receipt.

Recover an attachment failure

If the expense saved but its receipt failed, attach the receipt to that saved record instead of adding another expense.

FAQs

Does scanning book the expense?

No. Extraction prepares a draft. Only the final expense save records it.

Can I email receipts?

Check the separate receipt-email connection status in Accounting settings. Scanner access does not establish that email forwarding is connected.
