Get started with Rentari accounting

Prepare your books, bring in activity and review the first saved report.

Prepare the scope

Check the actual properties and units, then review Settings > Accounting, the chart of accounts and bookkeeping start date. Earlier imports can be excluded by that date.

Add accounts and opening records

Connect a supported accounting bank or add a manual account for statement imports. Review opening balances, loans and fixed assets from your existing records without duplicating prior entries.

Review and book activity

Inspect Import feed, choose the correct transaction type, account and property, then save. Review proposed rules and matches before using them for later entries.

Check a report

Open the relevant report and confirm dates, scope and amounts against supporting records. Resolve unbooked or misclassified items through their original workflow.

Check the result

  • The first reviewed report reflects the saved books, dates and selected scope.

FAQs

Should I import all historical activity again?

Check your bookkeeping start date and existing records first. Overlapping statements or bank imports can duplicate earlier activity.

Does opening Accounting enable online rent collection?

No. Review collection setup and readiness separately in Payments.
