Update a monthly loan payment suggestion

Review the lender statement and save the amounts used for future loan payment review.

Check the lender statement and whether the withdrawal is already imported or booked.

Inspect the lender statement

Check the total withdrawal, principal, interest, escrow and extra principal. An escrow change or additional principal can change the actual payment.

Edit the loan details

Open Accounting > Loans and the loan’s edit action. Review the monthly payment, rate, escrow and withdrawal account fields. The monthly payment includes escrow; complete paired payment and rate fields when required.

Review the next payment

Save and reopen the loan. Review imported withdrawals and the actual component breakdown before recording each payment; a suggestion update does not rewrite earlier posted payments.

Check the result

  • The loan shows updated future suggestions while earlier posted payment records remain separately reviewable.

FAQs

Will saving a template automatically book every waiting withdrawal?

Do not assume that. Inspect each pending match and the saved payment activity. Rentari’s review and recording result must be checked separately.

Should I overwrite a recorded principal balance to fix an earlier payment?

Use the earlier payment’s permitted reversal and corrected recording workflow. Preserve dated balances and supporting statements.
