Add renters insurance
Find a provider, upload your declaration page, and check your policy review status.
On this page
Have an active lease and the declaration page or policy document for the correct person and rental.
Review the insured address, coverage dates and liability limit before submitting the file.
Find coverage
Open Renters insurance and look under Where to get covered. Select a provider to get a quote and buy coverage on its website.
Upload your declaration page
With an active lease, go to Already covered? and choose your declaration page PDF or photo. Check the name, insured home, coverage dates, and liability limit, then select Review and upload policy.
Check the review status
Read the status at the top of the page and under Policy record. When your lease requires insurance, a new upload is pending review until your landlord approves it.
Check the result
- The uploaded document appears with its policy record or review status after a successful submission.
- If the lease requires review, the record remains pending until the landlord reviews it; upload alone does not establish approval.
FAQs
I uploaded my policy. Why does the page still require attention?
Read the status and any requested correction. A newly uploaded document can require landlord review. Check the name, address, dates and liability information rather than uploading the same file repeatedly.
Does opening an insurance provider link buy or verify coverage?
No. The provider handles its own quote and purchase. Obtain the policy document from the insurer, then upload it through Rentari and check the resulting record separately.
