Plan your move-out

Record a proposed move-out notice, provide a forwarding address and review available settlement information.

Before you start

  • Review your lease’s notice requirements and confirm the intended move-out date with your landlord. Have a forwarding address ready.

Review the rental and notice details

Open Move-out. If there is no notice on file, enter The day you will be out, the reason, Where to send your deposit and any notes.

Record and check the notice

Select Give notice and review Your notice for the saved date and forwarding address.

Review available settlement information

When Your deposit appears, read the source label, estimate label, deductions and refund status. Use the offered dispute action for a line you want the landlord to review.

Check the result

  • A saved notice appears with its date and address. Settlement information remains subject to its displayed status; an objection records your concern rather than resolving it automatically.

FAQs

Can I correct or withdraw an existing notice?

The page offers Withdraw this notice when a notice exists. Read its confirmation and discuss the change with the landlord before withdrawing; do not assume a separate edit form is available.

Does the countdown guarantee the date my refund will arrive?

No. It is a displayed calculation based on recorded dates and rule data. Check the actual refund status and ask the landlord about the applicable requirements and payment method.
