Help renters use their portal
Explain where renters find payments, messages, documents, and maintenance for their linked rental.
On this page
Check the renter contact details and linked rental in Tenants before giving portal instructions.
Have the exact page or task in mind, such as Money, Maintenance or shared lease documents.
Check the renter and rental association
Open Tenants and select the correct renter. Check their contact details and linked rental before directing them to sign in with their own account.
Point them to the right page
Renters use Home for their rental overview, Money for payment information, Maintenance for repair requests, and Inbox for conversations. Lease and document tools are also available from their portal.
Help with payment availability
Ask the renter to read the payment status or setup notice in Money. Review your own rent-payment setup if online collection is unavailable.
Check the result
- The renter can identify their own rental and reach the relevant portal page after signing in.
- A missing rental or document is investigated through its association or sharing status, without creating a duplicate account or payment.
FAQs
Why does the renter see an empty portal?
Check the invitation email, renter account and rental association first. Empty applications, documents or maintenance lists can also mean nothing has been submitted or shared in that section. Ask which exact page is empty before repeating an invitation.
The renter saved a bank account. Can I mark rent paid?
No. A saved method is setup information. Review the actual charge and payment status in Payments and ask the renter to check Money. Only record an outside payment after confirming that you received it.
