Understand a failed payout or deposit reversal

Identify whether the collection or the transfer to your destination failed.

Sign in to the authorized landlord account and select the intended person and rental.

Open the original records

Read the reason

A failed renter payment, failed payout and later bank reversal can need different recovery steps. Read the actual reason and the account or provider action requested.

Follow the offered recovery

Complete an eligible destination correction or verification in its secure flow. Inspect the existing payment after recovery and contact support if the status remains unclear.

Check the result

  • The payment record identifies whether the renter collection, payout or later reversal needs attention.

FAQs

Should I charge the tenant again after a failed payout?

First determine whether the tenant payment succeeded. A payout failure is not proof the tenant needs to pay again.

Can an earlier deposit later reverse?

Check the original payment and bank notice. A recorded deposit can be followed by a reversal or dispute; preserve the associated records.
