Resolve a screening report error as a renter

Distinguish a technical screening block from inaccurate returned information.

Identify the issue

Open your existing screening request. Note whether it is blocked at consent, identity or payment, or whether a completed report contains information you believe is wrong.

Renter My Applications workspace in its empty state.
The sample account has no submitted applications.

Use the appropriate recovery

For an unfinished step, use the secure flow’s recovery controls. For inaccurate returned information, use the report’s named provider and dispute or correction instructions.

Track the same request

Keep the report or request reference and review the saved outcome. Tell the landlord which step is unresolved without sending private identity or payment details in a message.

Check the result

  • The existing request or report has an identified technical recovery or source-data correction path.

FAQs

Can the landlord edit the provider’s report?

Use the provider’s correction process for returned data. A landlord note or application edit does not change the source report.

Should I order another report to correct the first?

Follow the existing report’s correction process first. A second order does not establish that the original data was corrected.
