Set up tenant check-ins and review responses

Ask residents how their home is going and follow up on the recorded response.

Review the intended tenants and lease records. Check-ins are separate from rent reminders and repair requests.

Choose the timing

Open Settings > Advanced > Tenant check-ins. Choose After rent payment, Monthly after the first month, or After payment and monthly.

Rentari Advanced screen.
The available controls before changes are submitted.

Save the setting

Choose Save and turn on, or Turn off to stop the check-in schedule. Reopen the page to inspect its saved state.

Review responses

Open the tenant profile or lease Home check-ins section. Read the response and any linked activity before deciding the next step.

Follow up deliberately

Use Messages for a personal follow-up or review a related maintenance request. Do not treat a satisfaction response as proof that a repair was completed.

Check the result

  • The saved schedule and any resident responses can be reviewed separately.

FAQs

Do check-ins replace maintenance reporting?

No. Maintenance requests remain available independently of whether check-ins are enabled.

Why do I not see a response?

The tenant may not have received or completed a check-in yet. Check the eligible lease and recorded activity; an empty response list is not a negative response.
