Make a partial rent payment

Review whether the lease permits a partial amount and check the remaining balance.

Check your balance and any Processing payment before starting. Use an eligible verified payment method.

Select the intended charge

Open Money and confirm the rental, rent period and remaining amount due. Check earlier payments before choosing Pay.

Empty renter payment methods section with an Add payment method button.
The sample account has no saved bank accounts or cards.

Review the permitted amount

If partial payment is allowed, enter the offered amount and review the method and fees. If the control requires the full amount, ask the property manager about the lease’s policy.

Add payment method dialog offering bank account or card and explaining that saving does not pay rent.
  1. Choose bank account
  2. Choose card
Saving a method does not make a payment.

Check the saved allocation

After submission, inspect the payment result and the charge’s remaining balance. A partial payment leaves the unpaid remainder due under the charge’s actual terms.

Check the result

  • The charge shows the submitted amount and remaining unpaid balance.

FAQs

Can I force a partial amount when the control requires full payment?

Use the allowed payment options and contact the manager. Changing a different charge is not a workaround for this policy.

Does a partial payment automatically clear late fees?

Review the lease and charge records. Paying part of a charge does not establish that other fees or balances were waived.
