Review a lease with the audit tool

Upload a readable lease, choose its state and review the findings and their limits.

Use the complete lease in PDF or DOCX format with readable text, and select the state that applies to the property. Keep the file under 15 MB.

Choose the state and lease file

Open AI lease audit, choose the state and select the lease agreement file.

Run the audit and read the result

Select Run my free audit. Wait for the result page or read the error on the form. Expand each result category to inspect its findings.

Check what produced the findings

Read any notice that AI review was unavailable, as well as any unreadable or not-a-lease result. Compare the findings with the actual agreement before making changes.

Check the result

  • A successful run opens a result page with findings, or a specific unreadable/not-a-lease result. The page states when the AI read was unavailable and only the document scan was used.

FAQs

Why does the result say the file could not be read?

The file may be a scanned image without readable text. Export a text PDF from the program that created the lease and try that copy.

Why did an addendum return not a lease?

The tool looks for a complete lease with parties, premises, rent and term. Use the full agreement rather than a stand-alone addendum or notice.

Does a positive result mean the lease is legally compliant?

No. Review the underlying findings and the AI-availability notice. The result is informational and does not certify the lease or replace review of its terms.

Why no longer can I open a saved audit link?

Result links expire after 30 days. Use Audit another lease with the intended lease copy to obtain a fresh result.
