Troubleshoot an e-sign request or signing link
Check the recipient, required fields and request status before creating a replacement signing request.
On this page
Have the request reference and exact error. Identify whether you are preparing a document or completing a received signing link.
Check the request status
Landlords should open the e-sign request and inspect its recipient, sent status and completed signatures. Renters should use the original request sent to their email.
Check the recipient and fields
Review signer names, email addresses, assigned roles and required signature or other fields. In document preparation, each intended signer needs their assigned fields before sending.
Resolve the existing request
Use the offered resend, recipient correction or cancellation action for an eligible request. Keep completed documents intact; ask support about an expired, invalid or conflicting link before starting another request.
Check the result
- The blocked recipient, field or link is identified without losing an existing signed record.
FAQs
Why is Send unavailable?
Check the form’s validation, selected document, recipient list and required fields. Read the actual missing-field message; adding only a date may not meet the document’s signing requirements.
Does changing the tenant profile fix a sent signer address?
Do not assume it does. Inspect the recipient saved on the signing request and use that request’s permitted correction workflow.
