Before you start
- In your own landlord account, look for Simulation in the header. A public demo instead displays a read-only Sample data banner.
Check which mode is open
Read the banner. Sample data means changes are not saved. Simulation is on means you are working with the sample portfolio associated with your account.
Explore the sample portfolio
When the Simulation control is offered, open it and use its switch. Wait for Showing sample data before exploring properties, renters and reports.
Return to your own records
Use Turn off in the Simulation banner or the header switch. Wait for Showing your real data and check the property list before entering real information.
Check the result
- The header and banner identify the active mode. Your real work belongs in the real-data view.
FAQs
Why does a save fail in the public demo?
The public demo is read-only. Use it to inspect screens; it does not create persistent properties or submit operational actions.
I entered a real property while Simulation was on. Is it in my portfolio?
Check the real-data property list after turning Simulation off. A sample-mode save is not proof that the property was added to your real portfolio.
