Complete follow-up requests

Use the available document or correction controls for a submitted application. Contact the leasing team about its decision stage rather than starting another application.

Prepare for a rental credit review

Ask for the rental's written screening criteria and fees before applying. A limited credit history and a record of missed payments may need different explanations; no single score guarantees approval.

  • Review your own credit information for mistakes. Gather relevant payment records, income documents or rental references the leasing team accepts, and share them only through its secure process.
  • If the team permits a co-signer or guarantor, ask what that person must qualify for and which obligations they would accept. Their involvement does not guarantee approval.
  • Ask how to provide context or correct an error. Avoid offering extra rent or a larger deposit as a shortcut; permitted terms depend on the rental and applicable requirements.

If a screening report affects an unfavorable decision, read the notice and request the report from the named reporting company. Dispute inaccurate information with that company and the source that supplied it, keeping copies of your request and supporting records. See the CFPB guide to reviewing a rental background check.

FAQs

Why is my application missing?

Check the email and rental link and finish email verification. Use the missing-application guide before submitting again.

Does paying a fee mean I was approved?

No. It does not establish completed screening, approval or a signed lease. Follow the recorded application and report statuses.
