Find a past or archived renter

Look in the correct renter list and inspect linked leases before restoring a person.

Check the correct list

Open Renters and choose Leads, Applicants or Tenants according to the person’s recorded stage. Use the Archived or past view offered by that list.

Inspect the record

Search by name or email and review the rental and lease history. Check that you found the existing person before creating another renter record.

Restore or set up the new rental

Use the restore action when offered and appropriate. If the person is moving to another unit, review or create the new lease with that exact rental instead of overwriting the old lease history.

Check the result

  • You can locate the past record and preserve its history when setting up a new tenancy.

FAQs

Why will a current tenant not archive?

An active or linked lease can restrict the action. Review the lease’s status and move-out process rather than deleting the tenant to force the change.

Does moving the renter move old charges to the new property?

Do not assume it does. Old leases, balances and payments belong to their original records; review the new rental and its charges separately.
