Get help after submitting an incorrect payment

Identify the existing attempt before requesting a correction or refund.

Have the payment date, amount and reference. Do not submit a replacement while the original outcome is unclear.

Find the attempt

Open Money and inspect Processing and Payment history. Compare the date, amount, method and charge with your bank activity.

Empty renter payment methods section with an Add payment method button.
The sample account has no saved bank accounts or cards.

Keep the original reference

Record the current status and explain whether the issue is an amount, payment method, rental or duplicate attempt. Use a receipt when available.

Add payment method dialog offering bank account or card and explaining that saving does not pay rent.
  1. Choose bank account
  2. Choose card
Saving a method does not make a payment.

Contact the landlord

Ask the landlord to review the existing payment and supported correction or return options. For conflicting provider records, contact support with the reference.

Confirm the resolution

Check the recorded adjustment or return and the bank result separately. A support request, credit or promise of a refund is not a completed bank return.

Check the result

  • The original attempt is identified and any resolution is confirmed separately.

FAQs

Can I cancel by deleting my bank method?

Do not rely on that. An existing payment attempt has its own status. Ask for a review of that attempt.

Is a lease credit a cash refund?

No. A credit adjusts what is owed; a return of funds is a separate action and needs its own confirmation.
