Request and review a tenant screening report

Choose the screening path, review its package and payer, and follow the recorded request status.

Have the correct rental and applicant email ready. Choose whether you need a full application or a report for someone who applied elsewhere.

Review the package, payer and certification displayed on the request form before continuing.

Choose the request you need

Open Screen a tenant. Choose Invite to apply for an application and screening, or Request a report when the renter already applied elsewhere.

Rentari Screen a tenant screen.
The available controls before changes are submitted.

Review the request details

Enter the renter details and choose the correct Property. Review the selected Report package, displayed price and Who will pay? when shown. Read the certification before confirming it and continuing.

Follow the screening status

Open the applicant profile and its Screening report tab. Check whether it is awaiting payment, awaiting identity steps, processing, under manual review, failed or completed.

Review the available report

When results are available, read the report coverage, source and underlying findings alongside the application. Use Make a decision only after your review.

Read the report section by section

Confirm the applicant, rental, package and report date first. Read the available credit, background or other sections according to their displayed coverage and source; packages can differ.

Separate an underlying finding from a summary score. Check explanatory notes and distinguish no records returned from a section that is pending, restricted or not included. Use the documented correction channel when a renter identifies an error.

Download the report only when its download control is available and store it securely. Make the application decision in the relevant workflow after reviewing the report and application together; a completed report does not automatically approve the renter.

Check the result

  • The applicant profile shows a recorded screening request and its current status. Completed means the available report can be reviewed; check the coverage and source of each section.

FAQs

Why is the application complete but the report still waiting?

Application completion and screening are separate. Open Screening report and read its status: payment, identity steps, processing and manual review each require a different next step.

The applicant did not receive the request. Should I send another?

Check the email on the existing request and ask the applicant to check their inbox and spam folder. Review the recorded request and its recovery options before creating a duplicate.

Does an empty report section mean no records exist?

Read its label. Not included, Not returned, Pending, Restricted and Unavailable differ from an available section that returned no records.

Is a score enough to decide an application?

Review the underlying report, its coverage and the rest of the application. A score alone does not explain missing data or establish that all sections were checked.
