Read a screening report and review its limitations

Find the report, review what was actually returned and keep screening separate from the rental decision.

Use an authorized account. Have the applicant’s consent and your rental criteria, and check that the report belongs to the right person.

Open the applicant

Open Renters > Applicants, select the person and find their screening request. Read the request status before looking for a completed report.

Read each available section

Open the returned report and review the provider, report date, identity information and available credit, background or eviction sections. Missing or restricted information is not a clean result.

Resolve discrepancies

Compare the report with the application and ask for correction through the provider’s dispute process when information is challenged. Do not edit a provider report to make it match an application.

Make a separate decision

Apply the same appropriate rental criteria and follow the required decision and notice workflow. A report, score label or AI summary does not approve or deny the applicant on your behalf.

Check the result

  • You can identify the returned report, its limitations and the separate decision step.

FAQs

Does Rentari use TurboTenant’s credit-score recommendation bands?

Do not apply another platform’s labels as Rentari policy. Read the score and explanation supplied in the actual report and use your appropriate, consistently applied criteria.

What about California disclosures or suppressed records?

Follow the disclosures and consent requested by the current screening flow and the provider’s consumer-rights instructions. Data availability and permissible use can depend on location; seek qualified guidance for requirements specific to the rental.
